Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch 5G services in the country on October 1. The Central Government’s National Broadband Mission announced this through a tweet.
In a tweet, Mission announced that Prime Minister Modi will launch 5G services in India at Asia’s largest tech exhibition ‘India Mobile Congress’ on October 1.
The exhibition is jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).
Indian economy will benefit greatly from 5G services
Let it be known that in the 5G spectrum auction that ended on August 1, the central government sold spectrum worth Rs. 1.50 lakh crore.
The government has set a target for companies to complete 80 percent coverage of 5G services within a short period of time.
Experts believe that by 2040, 5G services will add Rs 36.4 lakh crore to the Indian economy. Sectors like manufacturing, retail and agriculture will benefit the most from 5G services.
