Potash Scam Case: CBI raids the house of Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot’s brother, know the whole matter

Potash Scam Case: Central Bureau of Investigation has accused Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s brother Agrasen Gehlot of defrauding the central government of more than Rs 52 crore in the Potash scam. (Agrasen Gehlot) raided 15 places in different states by registering a case against 15 people under various criminal sections. During this raid many electronic devices including important documents have been confiscated.

CBI made this claim

CBI claims that the Indian Government has banned the supply of potash outside India and it can be sent out only with the permission of the Government of India. According to the allegation of the CBI, the accused sent potash abroad under the guise of industrial salt and recovered more money. Whereas a discount is taken from the Government of India for selling it in India on its sale. The accused allegedly showed fraudulent purchase of feldspar powder/industrial salt through dealers in Kolkata, Rajasthan to cover up this transaction.
