Workers of different parties clashed with each other at many polling stations. Violent activists pelted stones at each other. During the violence, unidentified people took away the ballot boxes.

Ballot papers were stolen from the polling booth of Jinnah School. Police and Rangers contingents patrolled the areas to maintain law and order.

PSP President Mustafa Kamal said that TLP workers had attacked their workers after seeing their defeat. He said shots were fired at Anees Kaimkhani’s vehicle and the PSP’s head office.

MQM leader Aminul Haque said over a dozen workers were injured during the attacks on polling stations.

There was very little turnout during the voting. There is likely to be a tough fight between the candidates of MQM, PPP, PSP and Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan. PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami have boycotted the election.
