Paolo Sossi, the lead author of the study, published in Nature Astronomy and Professor of Experimental Planetology at ETH Zurich, said that the theory generally prevalent in astrophysics and cosmology is that the Earth is composed of chondritic asteroids. Chondrites are those stony meteorites that are composed of dust and particles that were present in the early creation of the Solar System. They are believed to contribute to the formation of planets, satellites and other large objects.

However, talking about the flaws of this theory, Paolo Sosi has said that no mixture of any chondrite can explain the exact composition of the Earth.

Some theories related to the formation of the Earth say that the Earth was formed by the collision of things, produced a lot of heat and the lighter elements evaporated and left the planet in its current structure. But according to Sosi, not all these theories seem credible.

To get a clearer picture of the formation of the Earth, the researchers created dynamic models and simulated the formation of planets. Sosi said that by accumulating more and more material through the gravitational pull, the smaller particles gradually grew and became kilometer-sized planetesimals.
