Defense Minister Rajnath Singh On Agnipath Scheme Amid Strong Protest In Several States

Rajnath On Aginpath Scheme: Amidst protests against the Agneepath scheme in many states of the country, while the opposition is demanding its return, on the other hand the government is considering it as a big opportunity in the direction of employment. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the recruitment process is going to start in a few days. Talking to news agency ANI, he said that the Agneepath scheme announced by the central government gives a golden opportunity to the youth of India to connect with the country’s defense system and serve the country.

Rajnath said – youth should prepare for recruitment

The Defense Minister further said that due to the lack of recruitment process in the army for the last two years, many youths did not get a chance to join the army. He said that on the approval of the Prime Minister, the age limit for the recruitment of Agniveers has been increased this time from 21 to 23 years, which will give many youth the potential to become Agniveers. He said that he wants to tell the youth of the country that they should prepare for recruitment in the army and take advantage of it.

Ruckus from Bihar to Bengal

Here, for the third consecutive day, there is a fierce demonstration against the new recruitment scheme ‘Agneepath’ in the army. Miscreants set fire to the Jammu Tawi-Guwahati Express train in Bihar’s Samastipur this morning. Two bogies of the train got burnt. This is the incident of Mohiuddinnagar station of Hajipur-Barauni railway section. On the other hand, miscreants also set fire to the Bihar Sampark Kranti Express train going from Darbhanga to New Delhi. Four bogies of the train were burnt to ashes. The miscreants near Bhola Talkies Railway Gumti of Samastipur-Muzaffarpur rail section ransacked and looted the train.

Miscreants set fire to a passenger train parked at Kulhadiya station in Arrah. Train operation has been disrupted due to arson on Patna-Deendayal Upadhyay main line. Here, in Ballia, youth vandalized and pelted stones in protest against the Agneepath scheme. Because of this, the police had to use sticks. Here, protests have started in Begusarai as well. Protesters are protesting by arson on the railway track of Lakhminia station of Barauni-Katihar rail section. Railway track is jammed at Kulhariya station of Arrah. Many trains are standing at Ara station.

The miscreants of Ara destroyed the Bihiya station and thrashed the people. A large number of miscreants are still present at the Western Railway crossing of Bihiya station. SDPO and SDO have reached the spot. Protests are being witnessed in Ara and Buxar since morning. In protest against the Agneepath scheme, the candidates have been protesting by burning railway track tires since 5 am at West Gumti of Dumrao railway station in Buxar. Railway police and local police are present there. Here, people created a ruckus at Bihiya railway station in Arrah against the Agneepath scheme. All these are demanding removal of TOD from army restoration. Due to this, the operation of many trains has been stopped at different stations.
